As anticipated, the girl tagged along- still at something of a distance, the dragoness noted. Although whether that was out of wariness or respect she didn't bother to wonder for long. She had other, more important things to occupy her thoughts at the moment- namely gryphon magic. To be honest, she hadn't been aware gryphons even had magic- unless their shapeshifting counted. Other elven races, sure, but gryphons? The idea was new to her and, as a result, also somewhat strange. What sort of magic did gryphons have, then? Was it different from what the non-shifting elves had? It might be worth investigating later, assuming she could find someone tolerable to ask.
"If they are a child of two Elementals, yes," Kohaku confirmed, satisfied at least by the indication that Tsiaa had been able to put two and two together. "How strong they are depends on the individual, though. Some barely have more power than your average Creation, if that," she went on, thoughts of her half-sister Prism coming briefly to mind before being quickly extinguished. Why sour her own mood- at least more so than it was naturally?
Unfortunately, rather than another question concerning... well, anything else, really, the next of the gryphon's inquiries dragged her right back into rather dangerous territory. It was hardly a shock, but it would have been nicer if she'd conveniently forgotten the subject of Riders long enough for them to part ways. As it was, Kohaku was once again faced with the decision of how truthful she should be. Where she lived wasn't much of a concern. Her lack of a Rider, on the other hand, was. She could always lie about that bit, but the issue of where exactly her Rider was if she did would be harder to explain. And she wasn't sure if she could convincingly say where he/she was now, and not with her.
In the end (and rather to her chagrin), she chose honesty. At least then she wouldn't have to cover for herself as much. "I don't live anywhere consistently, nor do I have a Rider." She paused to assess the girl's mood regarding their surroundings before adding, "If you were looking for some place more exciting, you should have landed in a different territory." That said, there was little left she could do but sit back and wait for whatever would be next.
