▪ Talbot Arkem Walker ▪ ▪ Fire-light ▪ ▪ Male ▪ ▪ Pansexual ▪ Previously -Ivy Walker Currently - Trevor Falls personality Somewhat of a smart and thoughtful dragon, he strives to be far different from the rest. While calm, collective, and reigning with every sense of power he has, there are still edges of him that only his rider would ever know. With such a short live humans live, his connection with his rider is among the strangest, perhaps the strongest of all of the dragons, creations and elementals alike. While he will never try to pull a competition, his logical mind tries to put things in place for himself and his rider. If she is ever in trouble, he is there at her side, rather a strange thing even stronger between creations and himself. His state of mind is always revolving around that girl, and however different he becomes, he is still one to be open to the world as a whole. Talbot comes off as an official dragon with manners all over his features. He stands tall, straight, and tries to never show the weaknesses that he holds. A pure god as he would like to think of himself as(Of a prince among his other half siblings), even if he is not. He wants to show others the maturity in serious situations. Staying calm is a key element in his demeanor, and while his interactions with others can differ in his attitude usually only the select few get to see the soft smile that he exhibits on a good mood. Around friends, his family, he is a playful wise dragon. He loves to laugh, tell jokes, tell stories, and think about the future and past just as his rider does. Talbot would give up the world to save his friends, his life always being held at a string for them. Talbot can be a strange one indeed, but he never denies that his heart is in the right place one hundred percent of the actions he makes. He tries to make all logical decisions before rushing into something. Ever since Ivy's foster father died, he has also acted as the young girls guide. What he fears most, is weakness, is failure. If he makes mistakes, he does not simply brush it off. He becomes frustrated, a little bit illogical, and distraught. Talbot tries to strive to protect the things he cares about, to be the better man. It bothers him when he can not achieve these things. Depression is common if he isn't careful, but luckily enough he and his rider with their strange bond seem to hold each other up in this strange and amazing world. Lastly, is his anger. It is like no other, if one were to mess with his family they do not want to see the darkness locked away within the confines of his heart. A dark aura surrounding the dragon that could ravage the land. Fire burning everything, and as it stood his absolute rage can turn anyone insane. It isn't impossible to stop him of course, he may be powerful, but just as the others he is not invincible. His lack of thinking in his anger leaves many open holes. Causing for more damage than good it could ever do. appearance Talbot stands at seventeen feet in height, nearly twenty five feet long not counting the long whip like tail that he holds. His body is sleek, but as for his underside which is protected by hard scale plates. Upon his head is a set of horns on top of his snout and reaching down the back of his head. His horns on the side of his head are made of a thick material similar to that of a rams horn. Two feet in length, they both can cause severe damage if plunged into tender parts of the flesh. His wing span reached to twenty seven feet in length, and are the classical dragon wings of a spine, three spindle like fingers reaching through and a membrane in which can help within flight. With thick muscles across his body, it is clear to see that he is well fitted for combat. His tongue is a long sliver tongue that can taste the scents in the air. His long whip tail can be used as a weapon the same as the two rows of razor sharp teeth within his jaws. Talbot has three toes on each foot, with black claws to dig into the flesh of his enemies. As he stands on four legs, he also holds the ability to stand on his hind legs for long amounts of time. His base color is a fire red color, with a darker reddish-brown color a stripe around his snout. His upper half of his body is littered with that same color of stripes, all down his neck, body, and his tail. He has bands of this color around each leg on the ankle. This color splashes over his chest plates as well. While his wing's spine is a lighter brown, and the membrane a ghostly white. The dragon's eyes are a bright yellow color and a small square eyebrow marking of a lighter red then the darker markings. His horns are also this same color as well. His thick claws are black in color. As for his tongue, which is a neon green color nearly out of place in his jaw. His voice is a deep, soothing melody. Scratched on the edges it may have a bit of a gurgle to it. As for age taking its tole on it, despite this even his body has no scars on it since he heals so quickly. His vocal cords enjoy making small rumbles, and purrs, specially around his rider. Some of them codes only she may understand or his close friends. history For as long as Talbot has lived, he has witnessed a lot, he has witnessed death, love, and friendship all over again. Even as a young boy awing at his mother and father, the elementals of light and fire. The times were harsh, and it took some time for him to get used to all these strange things. The one thing he'd never be able to get over was the way he hated humans for such a long time after the death of his brother Jax, a fire creation that he was close to. For when the time they hunted dragons they hunted him down, and he fell into a deep depression for many years until he met an air creation by the name of Foxtrot(Only around one hundred years ago). Foxtrot and Talbot spent a lot of time together, she was probably the best thing that could have happened to him. While simply friends, she helped him get up out of his depression. While she did vanish after some time, Talbot grew to know the world for the better, even though his hatred for humans still stood. Explaining why he stayed away from the other riders and refused to take one himself. Talbot made many friends, and still does or at least tries, but even then it was just a way to pass the time. It was a long, very long time before he stepped back into the human world on the urge to find a rider. While it was a scary place, he met a young teen by the name of Ivy Walker. She was only around twelve years at the time, and Talbot was not very fascinated by her. The young Californian girl loved dragons, considering her foster father Denki was the one who told her stories about them all the time. Her younger sister also loved dragons. And Talbot somehow found himself spending time with the family. Though things got ugly rather fast for the family. A history Talbot knows isn't his part to share. After the death of not only her sister, but also her foster father Ivy became distraught. Talbot was the only one who could be there for her in which she was sixteen at the time. The dragon decided to make the human his rider, not because of what she had been through, but because of their time spent together. And how strange he felt about the human being in the state she was. Her family had died a year after her lover had, which stood him to make that strict decision. Ivy has been at his side ever since, she is eighteen years in these moments. But still retains most of her teenager qualities never being able to finish her childhood entirely. Though Talbot supports her to the fullest, and she is a smart woman he would never let get into the clutches of someone else. She's told him about her past before she had Denki, and it is a bloody one as any. And the bond just still continues. Weapons & Powers Talbot holds small blade on his claws to match his rider's. Used for close combat that are sharp fitted claws at the edge of each of his own natural ones. These blades are specially adapted to slice through things such as metal though. They go on his front claws as a gloves, wrapping around his foot much like a saddle or otherwise the gloves Ivy wears. He also has an attachment to go on the edge of his tail, dual blades on each side. Other then this he uses his teeth, horns, claws and tail as weapons. Fire Powers: Talbot conjures fire balls around his shoulders from extreme heat, then throws them at who he aims them at. He can also control not only his own body temperature but others within his boundaries as well. Raising body temperature to uncomfortable temperatures or lowering a fever at that. As with his Light powers, when someone realises that these powers are being used on them they can choose to resist Light and colors: From his fathers side he cannot do much with mild light control, but can directly in the brain, eyes or head of targets add colors, and soft lighting to try and influence mood or calm someone down depending on the targets personality, the same ability to accept or decline applies. He usually uses it on the injured. Rp Sample Talbot had been sleeping for a long time now, curled up in the cave where Ivy had left him. He hadn't even noticed the girl was gone until he opened his eyes, yellow glowing iris' shining in the dim light of the cave. Talbot wouldn't have been to worried, if it hadn't been for the lack of a note to tell him that she had gone. The dragon gave a small snort, stretching himself out as his tail lashed out at the wall. Hitting it with a soft 'smack' before he stood outstretching his wings. With his luck though, she was only at the lake. This place wasn't too dangerous, but she was still a human, and plenty of creations or the other Elementals could do her perfect harm. Opening his jaws he yawned revealing a neon green tongue, which caught the girls scent as he started out of the cave. It was the middle of the night now, the full moon shining over the forest that was in the fire territory. It wasn't as hot as the other parts, and regardless, this was the home he had made for Ivy and she had fared well here. Seeing as it was, indeed, the middle of the night, he had a pretty good idea where Ivy was. A soft smile rising on his features as he tilted his head slightly to one side, moving his wings out and gliding over to the ground of the forest. It only took him a few minutes to reach the large lake, Ivy sitting on the edge, skipping rocks into the water. Talbot let a soft purr rise in his throat, crouching he approached behind her. "You know it's easy to hear a seventeen foot tall dragon flying and landing." She said raising an eyebrow at him. Talbot let out a small chuckle, sitting beside her and curling his tail around his hind quarters to avoid it thrashing about at the risk of hitting her. "Excuse me for trying to be a good guardian." Talbot joked lowering his neck as Ivy ran her hand over his snout before throwing another rock into the lake. He knew what she was doing, she was thinking obviously. "I love lake's, or even water in general. It's funny really, I end up with a fire elemental and my favorite things tend to be a lot colder then you." Ivy mused mildly as Talbot rumbled in his throat. Stretching his front limbs over her as he ran his neon tongue over her short black hair. The violet eyed girl pushed on his chest. "Jesus Talbot, I'm not an ice cream cone." the girl complained considering now the top of her head was covered in steaming dragon slobber. She wiped it out of her hair wiping it on him as he only laughed. "I was only trying to lighten the mood" Ivy stopped for a moment, lowering her head. She pulled her hands over the chest of the beast, over those plates. As she felt over his smooth skin above that. "You okay Ivy?" He asked. Ivy gave a sheepish smile to him, her eyes tearing up slightly. "Yeah, it's just a few old memories is all." Talbot cooed softly holding the woman closer and pulling his wings over her smaller body easily. Nuzzling her affectionately as she hugged his neck sobbing softly.
