How much did he know about the different territories? About their rulers? Adutaine watched him examine the slowly drifting islands, his eyes flickering slightly as he did so. They seemed to do that a lot...she wondered again if he had problems with his eyesight, or if perhaps those visions of his had not yet faded entirely.
When Rashan finished talking, Time took the opportunity to speak:
"I am not so fond of Izett's territory myself," she said, "but the lands of Astraeus are lovely to behold, I will give them that. You will always have a home here, Rashan, so long as you do not attempt to cause harm to my person. However, it never hurts to be well travelled."
She waited to see how he would respond, curious as to whether he knew either of the mentioned Elementals by name. Adutaine had once made a Creation who knew Astraeus by name, but absolutely nothing else about him. That had made for an interesting misunderstanding, at first, before she worked it out.
Well travelled? What a strange way to consider things, now that she thought about it. She herself was well-travelled. Her fellow Elementals, perhaps some of the more ancient mortal dragons, were well-travelled. They had experienced the great sweep of time and space, watched mountain ranges grow and expand, tracked the progress of the human race. Telling a youngling like Rashan that he could be well-travelled was a little preposterous. It was unlikely that he would even explore beyond their island although, to be fair, it was best that they keep it that way. Wouldn't do to have reports of dragons flooding...now, what did they call it? That was it: the six o'clock news.
