For once the Ice Elmental could be seen outside of his lair. The activities in his Lair were still going along fine and everything, but there were actually issues in the land that seemed worrisome enough to warrant some attention. The entire land to his south had been rocked and torn apart by a large earthquake that had shaken even into some parts of his Ice lands. Surely some of his Creations had been caught in the destruction since they were probably visiting their neighbors, but if their friendship had gotten them caught in the wrong place then it was a lesson to all about the over –value of friendship in the first place.
But through all the hardship that this had caused for Icarus and his ilk, whom he had very little sympathy for after his humiliation all those years ago, Viamor was much worried about other things. The one thing that Ice worried about was himself and the lands that he had so carefully made into the cold trying lands where only the strong survive so he might he learn for his next Creations. But now, there was a bigger threat that seemed to challenge it all.
Ysera
Everyone knew that such a big earthquake could only be her doing. Nothing so large and devastating had fallen upon the island since the War of the Elements. Was she trying to stir up resentment and hatred to start a war? He did not know her all that well, but that did not seem like her. And yet she had gone and completely destroyed another Elemental’s land and not even one that was her neighbors, so who knew which one could possibly earn her anger next?
His thoughts were scattered and unfocused, which just would not do for him to pursue his usual daily goals within his lair. Hence why he had left Tabae behind to man the Aetherical Wonder Ball, or whatever he was trying to call it these days. Tabae had such strange ways of taking such wonderful experiments and giving them dumb names. Like when he wanted to call a failed Creation Fluffy and keep the weakling-
No, this would just not do. He focused his gaze downward to the smooth ice below as he flew out toward the calmer sections of his lands near the boundary. He flew up high near the clouds where his natural coloring would mildly camouflage him and he could see for a great distance. The border between Dark and Ice was absolute now; there was no missing the destruction and cliff that had formed there. Now there was nothing but water and rubble left for miles past his borders. So now he had flown over the south end and approached the southeast corner where his Ice Lands met with the more mild and overgrown life lands. The contrast of cluttered life all around and the pristine shimmering perfection of ice always pleased him when he came along here. Though the plant life did not last for long before it rose up into mountains, which he always loved to imagine making snow covered and freeze that silly plant life.
Who knew who he would meet out here and if they would be interesting enough to help get his mind of things or just something to vent some frustration on. Both sounded like good ideas to the cold Elemental. Most of the important people were off coddling Icarus and his ilk so surely he wouldn’t find anyone important enough to get him in trouble if he wanted to give them a little test.
