Again; a role play which I didn't save all of. This was the first time Ataxia and I role played these two. ^.^
Kession of the Mirage belonged to Opal (is now owned by a different roleplayer).
Radiance of the Prism belongs to Samantha.

"Dearest sister," Kession called. The rather medium-sized dragon had just woken up from one of his favorite activities: a nice afternoon catnap in the warm sun of the Light Territory. "Prism, you know we must be off to see our loveliest mother," he added in a mutter.
With a grin, the dragon stretched his glorious wings skyward, letting the bright sunlight catch them and soak through their multicolored membrane: showing the spectrum of colors present on his monarch-like wings. They were slightly translucent (inherited from his mother), so they cast a colorful shadow on the wind-ruffled grasses and vibrant flowers below him. However, even the flowers could not rival the spectacle that was him.
Right now, Kession wished he had a pond to admire himself in. That was one thing he didn't like about the Light Territory. The ponds were few and far between, at least to him- and they weren't the best for admiring oneself in anyway. In Earth Territory, at least, there was the occasional pond, and the rivers for a swim to remove all that unsavory dirt and grime from underneath his glorious scales.
Turning his head to preen, the dragon awaited his sister Prism's imminent return.
With an overly dramatic "harrumph", Prism climbed onto the crest of the small hill between them. She was understandably annoyed at being torn away from her meditations in such a way, but she couldn't suppress a grin as she watched her brother's actions.
"Honestly, Kess. I think your scales are clean enough. If they were any more well groomed, they'd probably disappear altogether,"
Kess grinned at his sister before standing up elegantly, letting his tail slowly uncurl from its resting position. He held it out perfectly straight for a moment, like a lady's pinky when she drinks coffee, letting the sun reflect off of it in a dazzling display before letting it relax.
"Oh, but sister," Kession replied, "I'm not fit to be presented to anyone we might encounter on our travels." He grinned, showing off shining white fangs.
"Speaking of which, we should probably be on our way. Mother awaits us. Are you read for me to cast the glamour?" he asked, cocking his head slightly and smiling at her. It usually irritated her slightly at any mention of his magical prowess, since she was incredibly jealous of his abilities.
The glamour was one of Kess's particular favorites. It had been his triumph, after several head-banging (though not literally, it might damage his perfect scales or horns if he banged his head against something) weeks of experimentation, he had finally managed to create an illusion that would lay over his sister and him as they traveled in secret between the two territories of the Elementals that were their parents.
Prism's eyes contracted into a frown. She gave him a curt nod.
"Yes, okay. Hurry up. I suppose she won't want us staying too long in our dear father's territory. She'd think we were favouring him,"
That said, Prism twisted to look back over her shoulder, at the glorious meadows and sweeping views that the Light territory had to offer. Or, at least, what was visible of them- from her angle, she could barely see over the top of the hill.
"I still don't see why we need these things," she grumbled, breaking into a brisk walk. "I mean, I'm sure we're more than capable of taking care of ourselves. And even if I'm not, you could confuse any potential threat with your illusory power,"
She twisted to look at Kess, eyes glittering.
"We could run away, you know. Yes, I've suggested this before. Don't be stupid. I mean, what are they going to do? Tell us off a little?"
Prism snorted. "Yeah, that'd be it. Let's go to the Air territory for a while. I bet it's great there,"
Kess shrugged. "I suppose we can try once without them, though. But if mother gets angry, I'm blaming you." He chuckled. Their mother angry was a spectacle indeed. "And that I could indeed do. I'm excellent that way."
Of course, in Kession's eyes, he was excellent in every way. In fact, he was pretty certain that as soon as he met a female dragon other than his sister and mother, they'd start fawning over him.
Of course, that's what Kession thought everyone would do. He was, after all, Kession of the Mirage, Master of Illusion.
Kess shrugged. "I wouldn't mind a little dashing, exciting adventure. But if we run away, we risk the anger of Papa and Mama, and that is something I would prefer to avoid. I suppose we could always ask for consent, but that takes away the adventurous dashing part of it."
The dragon pondered for a moment. "Well, how about this. We ask, and if they refuse, we run away anyway. I mean, there are tons of territories and elementals who would like someone as skilled as myself in their armory, and you come with the bundle that is me."
Prism stamped her foot impatiently.
"Stop gabbling, Kess. Let's run now, or not at all. I'm not /asking/ them. What sort of fully grown dragon needs to ask their parents for permission to travel?"
One whose parents fear for them, said a little voice inside. But Prism paid no attention. She wouldn't get anywhere if she cared about the weaknesses of others. Indeed, it would only really do for her to care about her own weaknesses, and work on repairing those. Indeed, in that regard; there was much work to be done
Kess stopped, and looked skeptically at her. "What sort of full grown dragon has two parents who could destroy the world?" he retorted. "I'm not jeopardizing my safety like that. Yes, there's a world out there that needs dashing dragons like me to explore it, but I'd want to be certain of their response first. Neither you nor I could defend ourselves against one angry parent of ours."
Sitting down, he dispelled his glamour, letting his shimmering scales soak up the sun. Since they'd been walking, they were now in the very edge of Earth Territory. Here, the plants turned golden, and out stretched a glorious savanna before them. Huge trees were spaced through it, as well as nice little oases. /An oasis is a good place to admire oneself in the mirror./ "Perhaps we should head towards an oasis," Kession mused aloud. "Listen. If we're going to run away, we're going to need a map, or at least directions, so we don't end up somewhere unsavory."
Prism snorted softly. "They wouldn't hurt us,"
But her words were hollow, and she knew it. With a noisy exhale, the dragoness shook her head and sighed.
"I guess you're right. Of course, in your infinite wisdom, how could you be otherwise?"
Prism then blinked. With startling blue eyes, she scanned their surroundings for any sign of an oasis. She didn't want to bend to her mother's will, but nor did she want to risk being injured in a fit of Earthly anger. Besides, perhaps she would agree to let them travel. It seemed very unlikely, but at least there was some chance.
If Ysera said no, well...Prism supposed they would do as they had always done. As they would always do.
Her eyes narrowed.
"Okay, yeah. Let's go that way,"
Kession let out a rueful laugh in reply to Prism. She couldn't really think that their parents would not hurt them, right? His pragmatic sister was not that naive.
However, the dragon's complexion changed at the compliment. "Of course I'm right, dearest sister," he replied with a smug smile. "I'm me."
"I believe there's a few deeper into Earth Territory," Kession told her, straining to peer around in search of one of the oases. "Shall I remove your glamour too?"
Quite honestly, Kession couldn't fathom his mother, and thus could only guess at what her reply to their request would be. She was an odd dragon, and sometimes Kess was unsure if she actually thought. Neither were her maternal instincts particularly strong. He could only hope that she'd be in a good mood when they asked her.
"Do what you like," Prism responded. "Right. Let's go. I'd rather not stand around in the sun /all/ day,"
She started out in the direction she had chosen, moving deeper into the Earth territory. Their mother's realm. Despite their biological similarities, Prism had little love for that dragon. She should, she supposed, feel indebted to her for having hatched her. However, she didn't. And, while she didn't really dislike Ysera; Prism felt that things would be a whole lot easier if she just stayed out of the way.
Kession took a moment to remove his sister's glamour, and then took off after her, snickering. "Why not, dearest Prism?" he asked, slowing his smooth, graceful gait to walk easily next to her. "The sun gives us light, and light is part of us."
While Kession couldn't even begin to understand his mother, the dragon had figured out his father to a degree. But Kess didn't especially like either of his parents or his sister- they were so boring after knowing them. That was really the only way he agreed with Prism's desire for travel- he was bored of the world as he knew it.
"Say, sister," he said, a look lighting up his teal eyes that always meant trouble, "What if we met a Creation and told them we were lowly Creations like them, too?" A grin began to spread across his face, one that meant he was greatly enjoying this idea. "Make them think we're regular. We'd be going undercover, and that way no one would pay us much attention."
Prism glanced at him sideways. A slow smile spread across her face.
"I like the way you think, Kess. Let's do that. We need to get out there and meet new dragons, anyway. What sort of Creations are we going to be?"
She was becoming excited. It could be fun. Lowly and ignorant though Creations were, it could be interesting to try and pass off as one. And maybe stir up a little trouble.
Kess grinned nonchalantly. "Of course you do," he replied, as if brushing it off. Of course she liked the way he thought. He was her brother, and he was, well, himself. And Kession was, after all, the best. ((Man this guy has an ego. xD))
"Hmm. Well, dearest sister, our powers are best fitted to those of the Light Element, no? Perhaps we should cast ourselves a glamour... or maybe just stay the way we are. I believe I look just dazzling in this form, so I think I'll stay this way." The dragon cocked his head to assume a very attractive pose. "But anyway. Our powers work best as those of Light Creations. I won't be able to use mine to their full extend, though. Since they are far too powerful to be any normal Creation's."
Kession was nearly hopping for excitement. A dashing, incognito adventure! He would walk among the lowly Creations as a Creation, and then, perhaps, eventually, he could reveal himself as who he truly was, a magnificent and powerful Son. They would all be dazzled! Prism would want to stir up trouble, of course. And who cared if they did? It wasn't like the Creations could harm /them./ If they did, Father and Mother would not be very pleased! And it wasn't like the Creations would be able to harm /him/ anyway. After all, he was Kession.
Prism shared in her brother's joy. Truly, this would be their greatest adventure yet.
She couldn't help but laugh at his words.
"Oh of course, Kess. You look terribly dashing. I'll stay as I am too. Should we take to the air, to get a better view of the area?"
She sniggered. "Some dumb Creation's going to get a surprise today. I bet you're much more magnificent than any of them,"
In truth, she had seen Creations before. But rarely up close, even when walking with her father. This would be an interesting experience- to walk among the creatures and see how they acted.
Ah, when the two great minds of his sister and his (his was the greater mind, but Prism should receive her due) met in a plan, the result was glorious! Oh, how enjoyable this would be!
Kess preened at her words. "Oh, thank you, dearest sister. Truly, you flatter me. I am not deserving of such praise." But he was. And he knew it. He was the most dashing, handsome dragon out there. "Oh, but we shan't let them on at once! Let me have some play, dearest sister. We must join up with them on wherever they're going! Then, we can watch them more closely and have a wonderful time." He paused. "Unless you're talking about the dazzling effect my beautiful scales have. In that case, yes. A Creation is going to have a surprise today."
Kession, too, had rarely seen any Creations. Ysera never came with any of hers, and their father would only let them see the Creations from afar. Suddenly, another thought came to mind. "Oh, Prism! We should make up fake names for ourselves, or take a part of our full name. I think I'll be Mirage."
