Sons & Daughters
Criss, son of the Water and Fire Elementals, is an angry and conflicted young dragon with a buried heart of gold. While many dragons are most at home in the sea or the sky, Criss prefers to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, thank you so very much. But if he could only embrace his Water heritage, he would find that he can breathe underwater just as well as he can breathe air!
You would first assume her a selfish creature, a night dweller who barely shows her body to those she comes across. Staying in the shadows well hidden from the light's view it's a miracle all on its own to see her. When you do, she may not speak much, not one much for interaction you are more than welcome to attempt to get a peep out of her if you must. Erodia loves to stay hidden, and making catching her a game it might be the more darker side of her mischievous self of a monster that likes to delve deep into her own thoughts.
Erodia has a curious habit of causing destruction to those she knows, while she could easily put on a facade. Her attitude towards others if they pursue her is not one of a friendly kind. A devil that marks her path, the devil who controls her if she draws blood she may as well continue ripping whatever it was she struck apart. And she questions her sanity because of this. For some odd reason, it wasn't like this in the past and she has grown bitter to the touch and craving for blood.
Though underneath all this, she is trapped in a tight cocoon of her own feelings. Erodia cannot express her feelings in the way she would like, snarky comments, and more or less an attitude is what others can expect if they get too close. She has never been known to show affection but this is her affection to the most that she can give. Her murder like tendencies are the ones that keep her locked away and the entire reason she avoids contact on most days.
Erodia is a smart ass, in more ways than one. She is always observing, analyzing, solving equations until she knows the answers to them. This is how she deals with her emotional pain is solving the dear puzzle that are presented to her. It is a wonder why such a waste of intelligence was used on a dark creature like herself. Her picture perfect memory makes it easy for nearly everything.
Yet she is a creature of imperfections, she cannot control her anger and has such a low self esteem. Erodia's flaws make her painfully aware of the world, and they make her even more angry making herself lock away from the outside world as it is. As a creation of death, she really is a dark and devilish thing. Even if her good traits are there, they are masked by everything else in her eyes.
Erodia stands at a strict fifteen feet in height, and thirty five feet in length ten more counting her tail. A slim form making it easy to climb rocky walls and a darkened form to hide within the darkness. Her slim form, is more of an eel than scaly like most reptiles. Starting between her shoulder blades long white spikes repeat until near the tip of her scythed green tail. The tail she has being flexible and with smooth movement of the sharp scythe may be her only other weapon besides her teeth that secrete her poison though the scythe may as well be her more murderous weapon all together.
Her sleek black form is broken out within her legs, three of them with stripes of bright red only for the right front limb to have opposing white colors to break out the rest. Her dragon wings tainting with a dark maroon and white stripes with tips ivory as snow. A snake like head on top of her body horns protruding from the top of her head and along the edge of her jaw bone. Her eyes being blood shot red does not take away from the ugly scar on the left side of her face. Trailing from her nose under her eye long and blemishing her face.
Erodia's jaw is like a python, her teeth tiny and needle sharp, her tongue being long and skinny with most of her noises being snake like hisses aside from her ability to breath fire. Her jaw can easily unhinge to eat things whole, bit also comes with the painful reality that if it gets stuck in this form she may do harm. While eating, it makes her more vulnerable.
Erodia's saliva is a dangerous weapon all in it's own. Bubbling poison as it is if she bites that it may be injected into the blood stream. The symptoms of her venom is not to kill, it is to cause as much pain for a long stretch of time as possible. Though it may not kill, it can be unbearable if one moves around too much. Though if they decide to survive the endeavor, will never feel the pain from her toxin again even if she were to bite them.
Samantha: And Paradox was amazing Dae! I enjoyed writing Adutaine opposite them. =)

Samantha: I get that Blazeh, no worries. <3 The site is pretty dead, it was just me and 27th and we couldn't keep it going on our own.

DaeSiggil: Oops, I know I haven't often helped by disappearing as I did. But still thinking about this place! <3

Verridith: Hey hon, love you guys but haven't seen anything happen since 2017 ;A; hope all are well! But have to remove you from BTACD's sister sites. I'm sorry! </3 </3 </3

Samantha: Exactly! It can be tricky, back home most of my friends are just from school, university or work. xD And it was lovely. They were all so lovely, the ones I was with spent the whole time talking about history, it was fun and edumacational.

27th: Wow! You got to have dinner with the authors? Making new friends is always nice. I know that struggle as I don't socialize like my peers.
Sept 12, 2017 18:00:11 GMT
Samantha: that great at doing haha (I don't like going out to parties and stuff, which seems to be the main way people my age socialise.)
Sept 11, 2017 23:11:00 GMT
Samantha: -looks at timestamp on last reply- Eeeek, apologies for the delay! But yeah it was AMAZING. My favourite author signed my favourite book, and we even had dinner with the authors one of the nights. Plus, I made some new friends, which I don't tend to be
Sept 11, 2017 23:10:37 GMT
27th: That sounds very cool! I would have loved going to something like that.
Aug 20, 2017 21:03:22 GMT
Samantha: It just means 'science fiction and fantasy.' So it was a conference for authors of these things, and scholars who study them!
Aug 19, 2017 21:10:27 GMT
27th: Glad you had a good time in Sweden! What is SFF?
Aug 11, 2017 16:08:48 GMT
Samantha: Sorry for the disappearance. I was in Sweden for an SFF conference- it was pretty cool!
Aug 11, 2017 10:48:27 GMT
Samantha: It's sad, yeah. We need more members to have more staff, we need more staff to keep the place active, and we need to have the place active to get more members. Sort of a vicious cycle. =P
Jul 31, 2017 16:46:13 GMT
Samantha: The problem is that the main person who likes to run contests, Riv, also has a tendency to disappear. xD And I don't have the time and the energy to run this place proper on my own.
Jul 31, 2017 16:45:38 GMT
27th: Yes, it is a lot of work. Though, I agree it could be worth the effort. As far as contests go, we've tried them here at DotE before. I don't know how well any of them worked but we it couldn't hurt to try.
Jul 30, 2017 5:53:42 GMT
R: Could try a contest?
Jul 29, 2017 4:40:04 GMT
shadow: Well. Yea. That also is a lot of work. It would be worth it though
Jul 28, 2017 4:12:51 GMT
27th: Well, recruitment would be key to that. Contacting the members we already have to try and get them to participate here would also be part of that.
Jul 26, 2017 15:52:29 GMT
shadow: I wonder what would happen if we tried to make it alive again
