Tsiaa hadn't seen lava before - there wasn't exactly a lot of it in her home Roost. In fact, it was more correct to say there was no lava - no volcanoes, either. Mountains, but none that spewed fire and ash. Not that she was really fond of the latter - it clung to her feathers, and made her eyes feel gummy. She had been here, in the Fire territory, for a few days, curiosity winning over the desire to follow Kohaku around and ask more questions. Her dragon valued personal space and, while the idea was foreign to the gryphon, the snapping demand that she leave for a while was so obvious, even a human could have spotted it. Yes, her dragon. While said dragon doubtless would have protested such possessiveness, it was in the nature of gryphons to be as such.
It was a wonder she had even left the Lesser Elemental's side, really, even with what amounted to an order.
Having found a dragon and become a Rider, Tsiaa wasn't sure what else there was for her to do in this land. There wasn't any evil to fight, or lost treasures to recover. It was just...there. Existing. Why? What good was stuff when nothing was happening? Maybe she had spent too much time in that boring, boring, boring grey, silent forest Kohaku liked, that she now saw stillness everywhere.
It had seemed natural to go exploring, then, with the...added incentive of a irked dragon at her heels.
So! Here she was, a gryphon, perched almost precariously on the lip of a cliff, talons digging into the stone, her wings half opened as she peered into the glowing river below. Idly, she wondered if she should drop stuff in, just to see what happened.
OOC - Sorry it took me a while to start this, and it's somewhat choppy. I suck at openings.
