Sons & Daughters
Criss, son of the Water and Fire Elementals, is an angry and conflicted young dragon with a buried heart of gold. While many dragons are most at home in the sea or the sky, Criss prefers to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, thank you so very much. But if he could only embrace his Water heritage, he would find that he can breathe underwater just as well as he can breathe air!
sam was liek "go start a skyrim thread" so i done start the skyrim thread
let's see here
opal likes to play spellsword/sniper combos mostly because then you shoot people and then walk up and stab/burn them so it kind of hits on all the fun parts of the game her followers are made to sign a liability contract because yeah fireballs whoop whoop
I have two argonians, Hands-of-Fire (I think) and Left-in-Shadow. Former is a tank-mage who fights with magic and a shield, and wears heavy armour, because she's allergic to being stabbed. She likes chasing dragons, setting fire to Stormcloaks, and using the Voice to shout people over cliffs.
Left-in-Shadow is an assassin, and good at the sneaky sniping. She has a habit of hiding in lakes and rivers, and then lunging out to nip at people's ankles. Currently, I'm playing her on a file where she isn't the dragonborn, because sneaking up on dragons is really hard, and her build depends on being hidden. So she's just plain ol' mortal.
Neither are what you'd call pretty. Fire is pretty scarred up - my headcannon says it happened before she discovered armour - and Shadow is kind of stuck in a permanent sneer, since her lip is messed up.
I use windows eight, and Sims 2 doesn't like that; so you get some weird glitches and facial bugs.
I adore the Lusty Argonian Maid. xD Can't believe that's actually a thing, but it's magnificent. When we started playing, me and my friend seriously went for a walk once just so we could talk about our Skyrim adventures. We're just that lame.
omg the lusty argonian maid and its sequel i just those books i how
actually i love the story of the wolf queen, too. and the dungeon related to that was hilarious for me because i had high enough archery for the time slow perk, and so i found a ledge and literally sniped out an entire keep's worth of mages because i could it was great
Currently playing as Cedric Vyrrson. Sam knows him. Basically he's got blue hair and is obsessed with Shakespeare. In Skyrim, he refuses to shout unless it's in iambic pentameter, much to the frustration of the Greybeards and the confusion of dragons.
Shadow hoarded books and readables, which got real awkward when she placed an armful of Brotherhood contracts onto a bookshelf in full view of her House...guard guy. I just called 'im Handlebars, 'cause of his 'tache. I loved the house building DLC, if only because it was hilarious seeing this assassin mulling over whether she wanted a weapon room, or a library.
Cedric sounds awesome. *imagining the entire works of Shakespeare being Shouted from atop a mountain while the entirety of Skyrim cover their ears and try to go about their day*
*revives dead thread cos was gonna make a new Skyrim one anyway*
Recently started playing this again (console version, Xbox 360). Palla and Priss have been deleted, but we now have the Hearthfire and Dawnguard expansions (no Dragonborn...yet); so more adventure opportunities for my new charries! =D
I'm thinking of doing the "Dead is Dead" challenge soon. Thinking of getting a little notebook to record details of that playthrough...but I'll probably only last about seven minutes, I'm actually not overly good at these games, just persistent. xD But it will add a cool new weight to the game, knowing that I have to delete my character after she dies.
I already have the character planned out: her name will be Ternwen, a female Altmer mage (or spellsword maybe, because not being able to do much when you run out of Magicka sucks). I know an Argonian would be better for this sort of thing, what with the histskin ability and all, but I don't need more Argonians right now. xD
My current "main" character is only level ten at the moment, an Argonian named Syvee-Rai (yes it might not be the best name ever, but I still like it). Sy is that cool dark blue colour with an orange throat; and typically fights with an iron war axe and some form of shield (I have a couple of shields I switch between depending on the context). Unfortunately, his main goal is to feel like a valuable member of society and be appreciated and all that. He's currently just hanging in Whiterun, doing random quests and patrolling for vampires at night (totally not trying to get him vamped or anything, no, not at all...).
Annnnnd yes enough ramble ramble for now. Reviving dead threads is bad, bad Sam! But it's better than duplicate threads methinks. =P
*** EDIT: I did the "dead means dead" thing. After beating the first dragon, going to Winterhold, and being so careful to retreat from anything too powerful for me; my level five High Elf mage, Ternwen, was killed when she fell down a cliff on the way to her first class field trip thing. What a legacy. xD
EDIT 2: My secondary character is a vampire Argonian named Rainbows-Shine-Through, yes yus.I use a mage-thief playstyle for him and also have decided that he can't make food with more than two ingredients, excluding salt, because he's useless. He also really likes sweet food, I've decided, and so I spend A LOT of time stealing sweet rolls and apple pie.
(I swear, Argonians aren't actually my favourite race- that privilege probably goes to Altmer or Dunmer- it's just that I had a few ideas for Argonian characters and really wanted to use them. xD Plus character creation for them lizardpeeps is exceedingly fun!).
Last Edit: Jan 20, 2015 10:53:33 GMT by Samantha: Added Rainbows 'cause he felt left out. =P
Samantha: And Paradox was amazing Dae! I enjoyed writing Adutaine opposite them. =)
Apr 23, 2018 12:02:57 GMT
Samantha: I get that Blazeh, no worries. <3 The site is pretty dead, it was just me and 27th and we couldn't keep it going on our own.
Apr 23, 2018 12:00:45 GMT
DaeSiggil: Oops, I know I haven't often helped by disappearing as I did. But still thinking about this place! <3
Apr 18, 2018 16:11:08 GMT
Verridith: Hey hon, love you guys but haven't seen anything happen since 2017 ;A; hope all are well! But have to remove you from BTACD's sister sites. I'm sorry! </3 </3 </3
Apr 6, 2018 12:22:38 GMT
Samantha: Exactly! It can be tricky, back home most of my friends are just from school, university or work. xD And it was lovely. They were all so lovely, the ones I was with spent the whole time talking about history, it was fun and edumacational.
Sept 30, 2017 10:02:29 GMT
27th: Wow! You got to have dinner with the authors? Making new friends is always nice. I know that struggle as I don't socialize like my peers.
Sept 12, 2017 18:00:11 GMT
Samantha: that great at doing haha (I don't like going out to parties and stuff, which seems to be the main way people my age socialise.)
Sept 11, 2017 23:11:00 GMT
Samantha: -looks at timestamp on last reply- Eeeek, apologies for the delay! But yeah it was AMAZING. My favourite author signed my favourite book, and we even had dinner with the authors one of the nights. Plus, I made some new friends, which I don't tend to be
Sept 11, 2017 23:10:37 GMT
27th: That sounds very cool! I would have loved going to something like that.
Aug 20, 2017 21:03:22 GMT
Samantha: It just means 'science fiction and fantasy.' So it was a conference for authors of these things, and scholars who study them!
Aug 19, 2017 21:10:27 GMT
27th: Glad you had a good time in Sweden! What is SFF?
Aug 11, 2017 16:08:48 GMT
Samantha: Sorry for the disappearance. I was in Sweden for an SFF conference- it was pretty cool!
Aug 11, 2017 10:48:27 GMT
Samantha: It's sad, yeah. We need more members to have more staff, we need more staff to keep the place active, and we need to have the place active to get more members. Sort of a vicious cycle. =P
Jul 31, 2017 16:46:13 GMT
Samantha: The problem is that the main person who likes to run contests, Riv, also has a tendency to disappear. xD And I don't have the time and the energy to run this place proper on my own.
Jul 31, 2017 16:45:38 GMT
27th: Yes, it is a lot of work. Though, I agree it could be worth the effort. As far as contests go, we've tried them here at DotE before. I don't know how well any of them worked but we it couldn't hurt to try.
Jul 30, 2017 5:53:42 GMT
R: Could try a contest?
Jul 29, 2017 4:40:04 GMT
shadow: Well. Yea. That also is a lot of work. It would be worth it though
Jul 28, 2017 4:12:51 GMT
27th: Well, recruitment would be key to that. Contacting the members we already have to try and get them to participate here would also be part of that.
Jul 26, 2017 15:52:29 GMT
shadow: I wonder what would happen if we tried to make it alive again
