Sons & Daughters
Criss, son of the Water and Fire Elementals, is an angry and conflicted young dragon with a buried heart of gold. While many dragons are most at home in the sea or the sky, Criss prefers to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground, thank you so very much. But if he could only embrace his Water heritage, he would find that he can breathe underwater just as well as he can breathe air!
Lots of sites have them, and it'd be fun to have it on here. The shop is a system where each post earns you a certain amount of said site currency and you can buy cool stuff for your character. We could have things like maybe give them armor and maybe even eventually make a really expensive one for humans and elves? Things like that perks for your character or even members! That way we can have contests that have site currency as prizes. Also whenever we need a certain element we can place them as encouraged and when they are made, gives members some site currency to award them.
Pretty much agreeing with what Sam said. If you could do that, Val, that would be amazing! You art so well. c: I think I would be good with anything, just so long as there isn't a character shop. xP It might take us a while to think of something and have it up, but we'll be able to think of something neat. Idk, maybe we could come up with riddles that pertain to an upcoming plot twist. xD Not sure if that would have to do with any point system, but that idea just popped into my head.
Well, wouldn't the art be kinda' like gift sort of request... things? I think it could work with someone writing a story for someone else's character, if that makes sense? Heck, I would love to see what people come up with. xD
I would not be opposed to this idea, but I don't see why it's needed. We've already got character freedom, and if people want art, then I guess Val could make them art if she felt so inclined, and people could write other people stories if they felt so inclined. I particularly feel as if 'charging' someone for me writing a piece about their characters would be rude, because I don't feel as if most of my writing is worth much. I'd seriously just end up gifting it. I'd also probably not use my moneyz for anything lelz so i mean i'm not gonna stop you guys but i still don't think it's super necessary.
I think it'd be fun. And personally I don't like giving out my art for free I rarely do since it takes so much. Site currency is pretty much worthless but I like posting and gaining more. Plus I could make it easy to earn, like 10 currency a post anywhere. And also we could always have contests to earn more. idk we don't have to it was a nice idea.
I think I'll keep out of this one, because I don't know how to format site currency stuff anyway. xD But I would write pieces as shopthings, for sure. And we might as well try it out, at least, if everyone except Opal seems to be in agreement. I mean, peeps can still make stuff for gifts and for free as well, obviously, if they feel inclined.
Samantha: And Paradox was amazing Dae! I enjoyed writing Adutaine opposite them. =)

Samantha: I get that Blazeh, no worries. <3 The site is pretty dead, it was just me and 27th and we couldn't keep it going on our own.

DaeSiggil: Oops, I know I haven't often helped by disappearing as I did. But still thinking about this place! <3

Verridith: Hey hon, love you guys but haven't seen anything happen since 2017 ;A; hope all are well! But have to remove you from BTACD's sister sites. I'm sorry! </3 </3 </3

Samantha: Exactly! It can be tricky, back home most of my friends are just from school, university or work. xD And it was lovely. They were all so lovely, the ones I was with spent the whole time talking about history, it was fun and edumacational.

27th: Wow! You got to have dinner with the authors? Making new friends is always nice. I know that struggle as I don't socialize like my peers.
Sept 12, 2017 18:00:11 GMT
Samantha: that great at doing haha (I don't like going out to parties and stuff, which seems to be the main way people my age socialise.)
Sept 11, 2017 23:11:00 GMT
Samantha: -looks at timestamp on last reply- Eeeek, apologies for the delay! But yeah it was AMAZING. My favourite author signed my favourite book, and we even had dinner with the authors one of the nights. Plus, I made some new friends, which I don't tend to be

27th: That sounds very cool! I would have loved going to something like that.
Aug 20, 2017 21:03:22 GMT
Samantha: It just means 'science fiction and fantasy.' So it was a conference for authors of these things, and scholars who study them!
Aug 19, 2017 21:10:27 GMT
27th: Glad you had a good time in Sweden! What is SFF?
Aug 11, 2017 16:08:48 GMT
Samantha: Sorry for the disappearance. I was in Sweden for an SFF conference- it was pretty cool!
Aug 11, 2017 10:48:27 GMT
Samantha: It's sad, yeah. We need more members to have more staff, we need more staff to keep the place active, and we need to have the place active to get more members. Sort of a vicious cycle. =P

Samantha: The problem is that the main person who likes to run contests, Riv, also has a tendency to disappear. xD And I don't have the time and the energy to run this place proper on my own.
Jul 31, 2017 16:45:38 GMT
27th: Yes, it is a lot of work. Though, I agree it could be worth the effort. As far as contests go, we've tried them here at DotE before. I don't know how well any of them worked but we it couldn't hurt to try.
Jul 30, 2017 5:53:42 GMT
R: Could try a contest?
Jul 29, 2017 4:40:04 GMT
shadow: Well. Yea. That also is a lot of work. It would be worth it though
Jul 28, 2017 4:12:51 GMT
27th: Well, recruitment would be key to that. Contacting the members we already have to try and get them to participate here would also be part of that.
Jul 26, 2017 15:52:29 GMT
shadow: I wonder what would happen if we tried to make it alive again
