The reaction she got from him was not far from what she had expected, if a bit less annoyed. He even played along with it to the best of his abilities, considering his seemingly barren sense of humor. A smirk lifted the corner of her mouth, but her eyes were drawn to something that she had initially overlooked, probably because the only notable thing in his possession would be the wisp that hung around him all the time. However, keepsakes weren't too hard to differentiate on a person, and she could tell in that moment that the bracelet was his.
Karma's eyes flickered away from his wrist, careful not to allow her gaze to linger for too long. Instead, she looked back up to him just to see him begin to excuse himself. Her grin broadened. Maybe he had a little more of a sense of humor than she gave him credit for. A little. "What, you don't think I would do something like that, do you?"
Her smile faltered a little when Desmond stepped around her, now realizing he had been serious, after all. What was he in such a hurry to do? Nothing, that was what, except maybe his food eating. Karma thought of letting him go, simply dismissing him with a quiet, disgruntled sigh, but then another, better thought occurred to her. The Dark Rider's smile returned full force, and she half-jogged to catch up to him. "Wait!" she said, stepping before him, holding her palm out to catch him in the chest and repel him back towards the river should he choose to run into it. "You missed a spot," she fibbed smoothly, rolling to the tips of her toes to flick a section of the back of his hair, giggling lightly at his pretend dilemma.
