Openpersonality
Criss is fully his own dragon. Rejecting his heritage as a Lesser Elemental, he spends the majority of his time alone. He much prefers this for he does have a rather curious coloration. He wants to avoid the topic of his parents as much as possible and the most effective way for Criss to achieve this is by avoiding the company of others at all costs.
Criss is very angry about being only half of one Element and half of another. He wishes that he hadn't been abandoned by both parents. He leans towards his Fire side and because of that, is terrified of water. He feels embarrassed that he is such a failure of a dragon. With almost no powers to speak of (well, that he knows of anyway), despite his rather large size, Criss is very defensive.
Almost always when meeting a stranger, Criss is hostile in nature. Preferring to not have contact with others, he will do his best to get rid of the stranger(s), if possible. If that isn't possible, this Lesser Elemental will run away as fast as he can possibly run, just to avoid a situation where he may come out the loser. As long as the stranger does not respond negatively to Criss' first approach, then he will become standoffish. He is rather blunt in his manner and does not know if he offends anyone, and even if he did, he certainly wouldn't care.
Still being a young dragon with limited opportunities in the Fire territory-though that is fully his preference-if he can get into a conversation with someone who can get past his aggression and blunt manner, then and only then, Criss may feel the beginning prickles of curiosity. To appease these pins and needles of thought, he will ask many questions of his company, expecting direct and truthful answers (or else!). With his blunt manner and direct, rather intense questions, others may feel as if they are being interrogated. After meeting someone new, if they can get past Criss' forceful personality and not ask any questions of their own about any of his no-no topics (his parents, his coloration, his lack of fire breathing, his fear of water, his oddly shaped wings and the list may go on), Criss may just decide that they are worthy of being his friend. If they do hit upon a dangerous topic, friend or not, they will have unleashed an explosive fit of uncontrollable anger from Criss and will not come away from the encounter unscathed.
In the case of Criss making a friend, this Lesser Elemental will be completely loyal to them, no matter what. This loyalty stems from not having anyone to really get close to. Even though Criss doesn't really know it, he is a rather lonely young dragon. He tries his best to be a good friend to those that can stand his personality, if only to try and create relationships that he never had from his parents. This loyalty explains why he is so close to Imp, a Death creation who is nothing but trouble.
Criss is still young. There is much he doesn't know about the world as well as himself but with no one to guide him, he remains lost and he doesn't know it. After meeting the Son of Fire and Water, others may come away from the encounter thinking that they had just met a very intense, and confused young dragon and pity him.

Appearance
Criss is a large dragon. The right half of his body is red and the left half of his body is blue. Criss' left wing is larger and clumsier than his right and therefore, flying is difficult for him. Criss has almond shaped eyes with cat-like pupils. His eyes are dark amber in color, with a faint blue ring around their edge. His face is long and narrow with a rounded jaw and a slightly pointed chin.
Criss has large, closely-knit scales along his long, curved neck that grow in reverse from the rest of his scales. These can actually be raised in a defensive frill (think frilled lizard). He has large, broad scales running along his chest and belly. The rest of his body is covered in leathery hide. He has a small, ridged frill that begins from the base of his tail all the way to the tip.
His body is built like that of a sight-hound. He has a deep chest and a belly that curves up. He is lean and built for speed and agility rather than power. He is not the typical dragon of sea or sky but of earth.

Other
He is able to change colors, like a chameleon but can't breathe fire (due to his Water heritage, thanks Dad!).
He walks when he needs to and can run incredibly fast.
Criss has incredible eyesight, being able to see for long distances. He doesn't like being closed in, feeling crippled when he can't see far or move quickly. It is why he prefers the Fire territory over any other.
If he ever embraced his Water heritage, he would find that he can swim as well as he can fly (so its manageable but not the most graceful display in the world). The blue ring around his eye would expand like a film and allow him to see underwater. He would also be able to breathe underwater! His webbed paws would also be useful in this element.
Perhaps there is more power that Criss could harness, if only he would get past his anger from being half of one Element and half of another...
Imp is a close frenemy of Criss'. Thanks to this Death creation, Criss has become a smart alec and sarcastic in nature. This just makes the young dragon more immature than he already is and is almost always offensive in his manner. Unlike his bad influence, Imp, he is unable to diffuse such situations and often makes things worse rather than better for him in the end.
