BIC: Fazoola was a pleasantly surprised by Darkflame's suggestion. After hearing about the Darkness dragoness from her Ambassador and then meeting the small dragon for herself, the last thing Fazoola had expected was such a direct question about her plans. Fazoola was not suspicious in nature and was not offended by Darkflame's question. She liked it when others asked her questions. She paused for only a moment to gather her thoughts before replying.
Fazoola chuckled lightly, "Air and Light are both capable of looking after themselves and their own lands. Astraeus, I wouldn't be surprised, has probably already gone to investigate the tunnels for himself." Then, the Life Elemental's normally soft gaze hardened. Not forgetting that a relative stranger was nearby, she refrained from growling or even frowning. She kept her voice carefully neutral as she said, "As for Tivialous, Ysera is his mate. If there are any issues in his territory, it should be simple enough for him to take it up with her."
The Life Elemental let her gaze shift to the ocean. She listened to the lapping waves and was suddenly, inexplicably drawn back to a very, very long time ago.
Two young dragons played on the beach. Life radiated from them both. They were twins: one male, one female. It still amazed their mother how like her they were and yet she saw their father in them, too. Then she marveled that they were so alike to each other and yet so different. The pair were a study in contrasts and the Elemental was completely fascinated by these, her first children.
Knowing that these unbidden memories could take her down a long, bittersweet path, Fazoola quickly pushed them away. Here before her now were two young dragons. Not her children but they were living their lives now, not in the past. She smiled warmly at them, hoping to give them encouragement.
"This all being said, D, you may travel where you please. You know the island well enough by now to know the different dangers that are out there. Not every dragon is able to leave their home, foreign as it now may seem to them. Both of you do. So, be cautious but not afraid of life as it is now and will be in the future," Fazoola said, looking first at her Ambassador and then at the Darkness dragoness as she spoke.
D dipped his head in understanding. "Yes, Fazoola. We were planning on going to Air to find our friends and see how they managed during the Quake and to tell them about Dragonsdeep."
OOC: I don't know how wise that would be. Fazoola isn't too happy with Tiv or his mate right now. Alone with him, Fazoola may just give him a piece of her mind. If such a meeting were to occur, this would only be the second time in the last thousand years that she lost her control or felt something akin to hate and anger (the other time being when Aldous killed Mocka Sing). So, if you're open to that, I suppose I could stretch Fazoola a little and we could work that out.
