They'd been flying for some time now. Taking off had been difficult but, now that they were in the air, the going was much easier for the young Dark Creation. Darkflame felt the currents push at her wings, the wind whipping past her body and ruffling her fur, and she felt...well, contented. More content than she had been since the destruction of her home, in any case. They were off to find D's Creator now, and she was a good Elemental. Everyone was going to be alright.
Beneath them, the ocean which had consumed Icarus' domain shone blue in the afternoon sunlight. It was difficult to picture it as anything else- when she looked down at it, it was hard to believe that there had once been a vast expanse of lush foliage in its place. Beautiful blue shining water: perfectly innocent, perfectly peaceful. What else could it have been? How could there have been so much plant-life only weeks before? Darkflame could remember her home, remember the glow-worms and the tall trees, but it felt far off somehow. Not close, not here, beneath the tranquil blue waters and the warm sun.
She looked over at D, flying close by. They were not travelling at any great speed, thus the air disturbance was minimal; and so she barely needed to raise her voice in order to speak to her friend:
"Are we stopping anywhere along the way, D? Or are we just going to look for your Creator?"

I'm assuming it's a given that they first went to tell Icarus about the giant worm monster. I was going to mention it here, but it didn't seem to fit in nicely anywhere. =P
Hope this starter is okay.
