One of the first roleplay pieces after we moved the first time, I believe! =D

Darkflame belongs to Samantha.

Leaving the land of lesser winds and stronger grounds, the blue hued creation soon took off from Earth lands. His claws making their last marking on the soil, the ground varied here which made the male curious at times. However, he was always glad to venture to such great lands, discovering and confirming many things said about each land. His long slender wings opened to the skies above as the rest of the body followed.
The creation soared calmly under the rising moon as its appearance brought out the sparkling stars. The light of crystal clarity embraced him, bathing his scales over the entire body as the Ice creation flew onto to explore more. -What a beautiful night,- he thought silently to himself, letting his wings catch an up drift of air. Rising him higher in the night, Selgar had traveled to a good number of the territories already. Each one as unique as the next, although he did not meet and greet a creation from each, like he did with Air.
-Wonder where to head next?- The being of Ice thought again as he flew on feeling the cooling breeze across his scales. -The Dark territory does not sound bad right now, maybe even see Darkflame. If I can find her,- Selgar tilted him wings one way, sending him flying towards the Dark territory as the stars danced all over the sky’s canvas.
The stars pierced the otherwise black void of sky, blinking down upon the heavily shadowed land below. Amongst the trees, whose grey silhouettes swayed in the gentle wind like dancers, a small Dark Creation stirred.
Her eyes opened reluctantly, and she raised her head from her paws with a barest swish of fur. She had no idea how long she had slept, but the deepening of the darkness that always engulfed the forest told her that it must be nighttime.
Darkflame's ears lifted, and as she peered between the trees she listened hard for any suspicious noises. All was quiet, though, and she allowed her muscles to relax, though still kept her ears pricked. You never knew when someone was going to try and sneak up on you. It had happened to plenty of others.
So, with this in mind, she stepped carefully away from the mossy carpet, lined with unburied roots from the surrounding trees, and down a small slope. To her right, she could see a few weak beams of moonlight struggling to break through the dense, unrelenting complex of leaves and branches that was the forest. Darkflame halted for a moment to look at it, admiring how, as it touched some leaves, the moonlight stained them silver.
How beautiful, she thought, gazing at the leaves with emotive eyes. Then, turning away, Darkflame padded softly down another slope, this one several meters long, and emerged into a wide open space, free of tree trunks.
Ahead, the Creation could see a river. And, beyond that, a plain. It was long and flat, and her heart soared as she saw the swirls and patterns of stars sparkling like gems above it.
Ears still raised in case of danger, but snout curved into a small smile, Darkflame half trotted, half slid across the ground, and came to a halt beside the water. The trees behind her still blotted out the moon, so she was unable to see her reflection. Only a few leaves, sailing by carelessly, and the glimmer of light on the far bank betrayed its presence. Carefully, so as not to slip, Darkflame took a step forward and lent over, tongue lolling thirstily, to drink.
The night wore on as the creation flew about, his wings shifting one way and then another. His almond alike eyes peered down just as he entered the Dark territory, his mind reeling of thoughts. –Icarus, Elemental of Dark and care taker of this land, - the male creature looked over the land as it was a place of beauty for sure. Just as any land was, at least to him. –Karma is his rider, a mischievous girl she is at times but a proper rider at other times. - Selgar flew left in the sky. His slim figure being traced by moon’s light only for the moment as the clouds took over again casting the night into oblivious shadows.
Everything continued to move along as the being of Ice searched, letting his eyes do the work that they were built to do. Eyes like hawk, they would say about him, but so strangely shaped. He past the grove of trees, coming up to a clearing or at least a place lessened of trees. The wind began to shift and change just as he spotted another, his eyes fixated on the creation as the body descended.
His wings beat steadily for the moment as the creature landed beside the water, “A beautiful home that you have got here,” Selgar said as Darkflame drank, still having the appropriate distance between them. “Just not as cold as the Ice and many more shadows thrive here,” the multi-blue colored creation greeted her with slight tip of the head. “Hello Darkflame, long time no see. I do hope you still remember me though,” he spoke in polite and normal tone as his wings shuffled and tucked themselves neatly in the correct place.
Darkflame heard wingbeats, and her heartbeat quickened. She glanced up sharply, ready for fight or flight, to see a blue Creation landing nearby. In the darkness his scales did not shine, but she knew who it was by the familiar silhouette and calm, passive voice.
She relaxed, raising her head from the river and licking a few ice-cold droplets of water off her lips. Her heart was still beating faster than its usual rate, with adrenaline making her limbs twitch, but she knew now that there was no danger. Here was a friend. And sure enough, her heartbeat soon began to return to normal.
"Selgar," she said, a hint of surprise in her voice. She hadn't thought the Ice Creation to be the sort of dragon who would enjoy the Dark territory. But life was full of surprises, and so Darkflame smiled and turned to face him.
"Of course I remember you, Selgar. It has been a while, hasn't it? How are you?"
In her mind's eye, she saw him fighting against a massive, black dragon with claws like human daggers. But from what she could see, Selgar wasn't injured at all. It seemed that he, too, had been safe lately.
"It has been indeed," he replied, "and I am good actually. As any creation should be in this world of Elements." His voice finished with such a graceful air as the dark of the land continued to spread about. Its shadows over taking the landscape and the colors produced by light. How different the territory was to others, but of course that was only expected by Selgar. Every inch of territory was different from the next, it just how things were created. The Ice creation looked to sky once, only seeing the dark, before continuing the creations conversation. "What about yourself, Darkflame? How are things for you?" Selgar asked still, somewhat, adjusting to the difference of light of the Dark territory, he wondered if it was always like this there.
She almost sighed with relief, her anxieties evaporating like the morning dew. It was good to see and hear her friend again, after such a long time alone. Even Cynder, a fellow Dark Creation, hadn't been seen by her eyes for quite some time. And, despite the fact that she quite enjoyed being alone, Darkflame couldn't help but miss, and worry for, her friends; at times.
"I'm well," she said, casting her gaze towards the barely visible treeline, shadowed by the darkness about them. "But I'm glad that you came, Selgar. I've missed you lately, and Cynder too,"
Selgar nodded as she spoke, his eyes level with hers as they continued to converse. "Cynder has been away or something?" he asked while noticing the stars had danced away now even though it was still dark. Expected though for the territory.
Darkflame frowned. It wasn't a question she'd been expecting.
"Not that I know of," she said uncertainly, looking back up at her friend. "I just haven't seen her. The territory is vast, Selgar,"
She flexed her paws a little, twitched her wings. Darkflame was eager to fly, and could almost see the great moon shining silver, or maybe gold, amongst the darkness beyond the trees. But Selgar's question had put her off asking; for now she wondered: why hadn't she seen Cynder lately?
The creation looked far and beyond, letting his head make a small nod. "Yes, that is true," he said as his almond shaped eyes noticed the slightest twitch of her wings. Selgar scraped the ground with his talons as if to test the density of it before opening his wings.
The slender frame of them began to catch to coming winds as they folded some. Releasing the contained energy, the blue creature rised a bit above Darkflame awwaint her to join. "There is no need to worry, I am sure she is fine as well. For now, we can fly here. Show me around maybe. It has been a while since I have flown with a friend." Selgar continued with the calm voice he always has as his body hovered a little higher now.
Darkflame hesitated. Then, allowing herself to be reassured by her friend's calming voice, she let her dark, leathery wings unfold.
The dragon raised her bright gaze to Selgar as she felt the air, gentle and cool, play about her wings. Beside them, the river ran clear, its far shore still lit softly by the moon's glow. Somewhere above, she knew, it hung in the sky, almost like it were waiting for them. But even if it had been a night as black as pitch, she would have been more than happy to show her friend around the territory.
Darkflame tensed her flight muscles, drawing her wings downward with enough force to send little currents of air spiraling upward. Then she crouched down, brought her wings back up, and pushed away from the ground.
Taking off was not something she was good at. As her feet left the earth, her wings were already being forced downwards to aid her rise. As they came up once more, she had reached the peak of her leap, but was not yet flying. So she beat those wings a third time, and a fourth until, with difficulty, she began to rise through the air to where Selgar was waiting.
Slightly out of breath, and heart pounding from the effort, Darkflame finally reached her friend.
"Is there anything you'd like to see first?" she asked. "There are lots of things I can show you, Selgar,"
Selgar shifted a bit in the air as he waited her arising. The male saw as she began with a bit of trouble, his muscles slightly moving to help her but in the end the Dark creation got herself up to him. The creature of Ice took a breath of the air before answering with another calmly voice. "Any where is fine, as long as you are not over exerting youself. We do not have to fly if you do not want to Darkflame," Selgar reassured her, "there are other ways of traveling. Like walking.
Darkflame blinked at him, sidling sideways a little. The Creation was, admittedly, a little amazed at his suggestion. She loved to fly!
"I'm fine, Selgar," she assured him, her breathing beginning to return to normal. "I'm not that great at taking off, from standing still. I'll be alright now that we're flying,"
She cast her gaze towards the dark silhouettes of trees behind them, over which she could see the top half of the moon. Then, she turned back to Selgar.
"We should go over the forest, if that's okay. It's faster,"
Adjusting her tail to keep her balance, Darkflame turned in place to face those dark, shadowed pines.
Selgar belongs to Kaguya.
Darkflame belongs to Samantha.
